Help the Homeless

Sidewalk Rescue takes in donations and reassembles them into care packages, which consist of nonperishables, clothing, and/or hygiene products, ready to be handed out to those in need. Sidewalk Rescue also invests in products for the homeless.

We Help the Homeless Across Pierce County

Sidewalk Rescue strives to alleviate the harsh living conditions the people, who are less fortunate and living within Pierce County, must endure. Whether the help is by religious awakening or simply by keeping warm and full until the next day, the overall mission remains the same: hope without judgment.

Raising Awareness About Homelessness

Sidewalk Rescue Ministry is doing its part to eradicate the stigmas surrounding the homeless community.

Assembling Care Packages

You can do this at home or with your group and carry them in your car to share with the homeless

Gather several non-perishable items, such as:

  • Crackers (e.g. Ritz, Ritz Peanut Butter, Ritz Cheddar)
  • Granola bars (e.g. Chewy, Nutri Grain, Fig Newtons)
  • Fruit snacks (e.g. Welch’s, Mott’s)
  • Beef jerky
  • Pop-tarts
  • Cup of noodles or soup
  • Bottle of water
  • Sanitary wipes or napkins

Put these items into a plastic or paper bag. Keep said bag out of direct sunlight and in a cool, dry location, ready for delivery.

“Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless. Give clothes to those who need them, and do not hide from relatives who need your help. [8] “Then your salvation will come like the dawn, and your wounds will quickly heal. Your godliness will lead you forward, and the glory of the LORD will protect you from behind.”
